Hi,

Sloman was a disaster when we introduced it for the IB Eco program. First time students got lost trying to match the syllabi with the book. Self-studying was so scary that it never happened. In independent parts the book explains well but maybe not as a primary text-book for IB economics

Hi, kind off disagree when you mentioned Sloman. I have that textbook too as it was initially a recommended reading for my students. However I find that it's too theoretical & it is not student friendly.

I would strongly recommend the book GCSE Economics written by Dan Moynihan. Although O-Level but it explain things in such a way that even a fisherman, butcher, mechanics would be interested to take up economics courses.

Alternatively, the Economics for IB Diploma written by Constantine Ziogas. I find that 90% of the contents are relevant for A-Levels Students
