I am a banker and an economist. I love economics subject since I was an economics student. If you want to get a fair and natural view on the Malaysian economy, just visit my blog. Or you can ask my view on any thing related to Malaysian economy. I am not politician, not a goverment servant, so my view is natural to anybody. I can assure you!

Have we addressed the core reasons for this economic downturn ? If they are addressed properly then estimates can be made for the recovery in the second half of 2009 depending upon the recovery of those core reasons, i believe. May i know those core reasons and how they can be overcome ?

The economy might not be great, but the housing market was inflated for years, people saw the subprime mortgage crisis coming a long way off and once again people were financing their excessive consumption with massive debt. It's not the first recession in history and I'm not going to worry about it till I'm homeless and hungry.
