Ask an Economic Question

You are welcome to ask any questions on Economics. Though you might also like to try google custom search (top right) to see if the topic has been covered before.

I am looking to explain economic principles / ideas/ recent developments in economics. I can’t promise to answer, but will try if it meets the criteria below.

  • Please don’t ask me to do your coursework / assignment e.t.c. (I can usually tell if it is a homework question!)
  • Please don’t ask any maths calculations.
  • The question and answer will be published here so that everyone can see it (including your teacher!)
  • I aim to try and simplify economics; as a rough guide, I would aim at an understanding similar to a good British A Level student.

  •  I will answer as a new post, if you leave email address, I’ll usually send quick email. Check home page of blog for new post. With question and answers

  1. WHY are some countries still developing, specially African countries and in schools we are taught economic growth and all stuff needed to be undertaken but yet they are not developed why??? AND who is to be blamed for all this??

    • I think that it because they looked down upon each other because of his or her status.so I think no one can be blamed because everyone want to have a status in Africa and want to be praised

  2. As economics student what confused about economics. What sense behind the government that print and pump money in to economy follow the same money to borrow with bearing interest instead allowed sector’s to borrow??

  3. A better title for the right hand column might be “what was wrong with the Soviet Union”, rather than ‘Communism’. You do not describe communism, which has nothing to do with restrictions on personal liberty, dissent etc. I fear your prejudices are showing and you’re misinforming people, either deliberately or from ignorance.
